I ran one of the largest practices in the country, seeing 1,250 patients a week.

From the outside, that number made it look like I had it figured out. From the inside, it was a schedule that never stopped, a team that needed me for everything, and a body running on whatever was left at the end of the day.

I was an excellent chiropractor. I was also depleted the entire time, and the bigger my practice got, the more it took to sustain.

So I did what we all do. More training. Another practice management tool. A new marketing strategy. I was certain the next thing would be the thing to turn things around. To give me the balance I craved.

It never was.

During those chaotic years, I'd never actually taken the time to assess myself. Partly because I didn’t have any extra time to give. And partly because I was too exhausted to think about adding one more thing to my already overflowing plate.
